Auction Pick Up: How It Works

1.  Place an order. After you buy your vehicle from an auction, place an order with HaulMatch using our online shipping calculator.

2.  Pay for your vehicle. Pay the auction for the purchased vehicle.

Note: HaulMatch cannot begin searching for a carrier until your balance with the auction is cleared; the auction will not release your vehicle otherwise.

3. Pay for storage.  Pay the auction any storage they have charged you (if any): this is your responsibility.

Note: If HaulMatch is past the pick up window for your chosen service, we will reimburse whatever we are due when you provide us a copy of your storage receipt. We cannot make storage payments to any auction. For our reimbursement policy click here.

4. Let's find a carrier! Once HaulMatch and the auction are paid, we will begin searching for a carrier to pick up your vehicle.

5. Pick up window. Our normal pick up window is 1-14 business days, from the time your order is placed and all auction balances are cleared.  For auction-specific pick up windows click here.

6. Loading. Most auctions will load vehicles onto the trailer with a forklift. The customer is responsible for arranging proper loading/unloading equipment if it is not readily available. If your vehicle is operable, you may request for it to be driven up the trailer.

7. Keys & Title/Documents. Depending on your preferences, the auction will either give your keys and title (if available at time of pick up) to the driver or they will mail them to you.

Note:  Our drivers are not responsible for actively retrieving these articles. If the auction provides them at time of pick up, the driver will deliver them to you. If not, you must contact the auction and make arrangements to retrieve these items with them.
